The Wise Men’s Example
Matthew 2:2 saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”(NKJV)
The gifts have been put away. The discarded wrapping paper and boxes have been bagged and set on the curb waiting for their trip to the landfill. Duplicated and wrong sized gifts are matched with receipts ready to be exchanged. The leftover food is still being consumed but there are only so many things you can do with turkey. Family members have said their goodbyes and vow to do a better job of staying in touch as they wave goodbye. This process of putting away, discarding, exchanging and saying goodbye can become depressing but we have to get back to our normal activities. The wise men still sought Jesus even after all the angels and shepherds had gone home. They could have discarded and put away their enthusiasm regarding this journey. They could have exchanged the gifts they carried to cover their expenses and said goodbye to their quest. They did not and they continued until they found Him. Let’s follow the wise men’s example and seek, follow, and worship Him year round through our daily normal activities.
Through the years of being in His service, Restoration Path has strived to empower individuals with the ability to seek, follow and worship Him. That ability is often misdirected or curtailed due the effects of sexual idolatry. That empowerment does not come through one’s own strength or fortitude but only through His might and enduring love and mercy. In the past few weeks, I have shared just a few stories of His victories of healing from sexual sin. You have been a partner in those stories and promoting His Kingdom’s work. It is through your prayers and financial support that those and many other victories have occurred. As you consider your end of the year giving or your regular monthly support, please know that this support goes toward the fight of empowering your brothers and sisters to seek, follow and worship Him.
I look forward to sharing more testimonies of His healing in the next few weeks. I also will be sharing our goals and vision for the ministry and steps toward broadening His Kingdom work. Thank you once again for support and may God bless and guide you through the coming days.
