The Time has Come!

The time has come!

Luke 2:6-7 (NKJV) So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

In the classic TV show I Love Lucy, one episode depicts Ricky preparing for the birth of their first-born child. He arranges every one with a specific assignment in order for his arrival to go smoothly. His key phrase that should send everyone into his or her pre-assigned roles is “The time has come!” Of course when the real event occurs it is total chaos.

If someone were to look at the events leading up to and following Christ arrival, they might describe them with the same chaos of a Ricky and Lucy episode. Mary is pregnant, they have to travel a great distance, there is no place to stay, born in a stable and laid in a feed trough. Pure chaos. It is a tad bit ironic that the Prince of Peace is born into a world of chaos. In spite of the external appearances, God said “The time has come!” and with that He sent His Son to bridge the gap between the chaotic world of sin and Himself.

You may be in a place of chaos today and feeling overwhelmed by the stress of the holidays. You may be in a secret personal chaos of hidden addictions or sins. You may be in the chaos of a rebellious loved one who chooses their sin and rejects you during the holiday season. You may be in the chaos of mixed emotions having to deal with the first Christmas without a loved one who passed this year.

Whatever your chaos may be, know that God’s love, that was manifested through the gift of His son, can still bring peace into the midst of a world burdened with sin. He still is the Prince of Peace and all He asks us to do is to trust Him with those burdens that you cannot fix nor control. Maybe you need to hear God tell you “The time has come!” for you to surrender the controls of your life to Him. Jesus spoke peace into the chaos of the storm. He can do that in your life today.

Have a merry, blessed and peace filled Christmas.

    David, Merry Christmas. ????????????

A report from the shepherds: Luke 9 Then an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for look, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people: 11 Today a Savior, who is •Messiah the Lord, was born for you in the city of David.

I really like the website. It’s full of good info and Biblical training and Gods Word

Bless you and your family. Steve
