It would be fair to say that none of us will ever make Forbes list for most powerful woman or man. As Christians, our power and influence can be even greater and farther reaching than any of the women listed in the article. Let’s take a look at the points listed in our definition and how they apply to our Christian influence.
Tim Tebow is one of the most talked about sports figures on our planet today. You cannot watch an episode of Sports Center without his name being mentioned. Sometimes there is debate about his performance as an NFL quarter back. There is one thing that has never been questioned nor debated and that is his faith and integrity. He is always described as a man of strong faith and character. You would think that someone of his strength and stature could take on all the trials and temptations that life can throw at him without relying upon another human.
The term father is defined: ‘To be the creator, founder, or author of; originate.’ (dictionary. reference.com/browser/father).
Many people struggle with sexual sin because of an absent or abusive father. Therefore, it would only make good sense that a remedy, not an instant cure, for that pain is to call on your true Father.
My wife, Diana, was reading her Bible in our backyard and she shared with me what she remembers from a mentor we both shared in our lives at one time, “Satan can’t snatch you of God’s hand. But he can steal your seed if you let him.”
The very best place to receive seeds, be planted in one’s heart, is from the Scriptures themselves. The enemy is always there to try to steal away the blessing of our seed. Jesus spoke a parable to a large crowd and later explained it to the apostles. His explanation is in Luke 8:11-15:
Spring is a great season of the year. Easter is a great expression of the newness of life and experiencing a new season that is yet to come. We all have a past that brings us to the present and we anticipate what our future will look like. But living for today is where our joy has its roots. Being at peace with the one true God that created the heavens and the earth brings satisfaction for whatever sins one has been plagued with in the past. We can know a new freedom if we don’t work for it. As we work, we should also realize that there was one who had a plan for each of us in mind as we pursue this life we are living.
